Just because it was a nice thing to do, at short notice and risking the British summer, the Tonsley masses, some now living far from the Tonsley homeland, descended once again on the sunny south-west corner of London for Pimms and a picnic.
Some arrived via some eccentric routes (a memorable trip from Oxfordshire to Wimbledon via Tooting for the Woolfs!) but it was worth it, for the humous if not the humour. Needless to say, a lovely day was had by all. And that’s that.
