Ok, so this started out as Super Saturday – the Six Nations finale – and England / Ireland at Twickenham. But the less said about that the better, as we were fortunately saved from the commiserations by Ed quietly revealing it he had sneakily slipped into his sixth decade!
Being such good friends and quick thinkers, the menu at Wimbledon’s White Onion and the waiter’s pen were all we needed to ensure we marked the occasion with an impromptu birthday card, and a reason again to celebrate. Well, apart from JP – he was sleepy.
