Tonsley Trackstar 2003

Tonsley Events have been proud that, for the second year running, we put full support to the London Marathon. After a fantastic performance by 2002's Tonsley Trackstar, our very own Simon Woolf stepped into the running shoes for 2003. We are asked YOU to help Woolfy in his quest to run 26.2 miles around London on 13th April 2003 to raise funds for Whizz-Kidz, a national children's charity with a very simple goal - to give disabled children and young people independent mobility.

Regardless of whether you wanted to watch Woolfy do it, help him do it, raise funds so he did actually do it or simply have a beer whilst he talked about doing it, this is where we followed his fortunes.

Supporter Schedule

To help our intrepid runner on April 13th you will find below key meeting points along the way. We have also detailed how you can follow Woolfy around the course with the help of London Transport.

Refer to the London Marathon's map to see exactly where we will all be meeting at each "Supporter Point". As Woolfy will be aware of these places, you stand a far better chance in both seeing him and of him seeing you!

ETA 10:20am Creek Road

From Greenwich Railway Station (arrive at least by 9:50am to allow you time to reach Supporter Point 1 through crowds), walk to a bus stop about 800 metres west of the Cutty Sark on the north side of Creek Road, shortly after a pub and before the blue towers (both on the southside of Creek Road).

ETA 12:00pm Canary Wharf

Via foot tunnel to Island Gardens, then by rail (DLR) to foot of Canary Wharf. Walk to where runners come out of roundabout underpass and stay on same side.

ETA 12:35pm other side of Canary Wharf

ETA 1:25pm Outside Embankment Station

From Westferry Station to Tower Gateway, change onto District/Circle Line and travel westbound from Tower Hill to Embankment. Stand on North side adjacent to the centre of the road.

ETA 1:35pm Guards Memorial

Walk to repatriation area of St James Park, Guards Memorial on Horse Guards Road just off St James Park.
